Turnaround Tuesday?
EUR/USD touches a high of 1.1659 on the day, while cable also jumped to a high of 1.3168 as the dollar and yen continues to lose more ground on the day. EUR/JPY is also near the highs now closing in on 129.50 while GBP/JPY is also trading at the highs of 146.20 levels.
Apart from that, other major currencies - swissie, loonie, aussie, kiwi - are all also at the highs for the day against the dollar and the yen.
It's a broad move as risk appetite continues to improve with European equities now moving higher. The DAX is leading gains on the day so far as the news that German coalitions have reached an agreement is helping to ease investors' nerves further.
