May and Merkel

I'm curious about what would happen in that 9 months. I think they have been clear that they're not going to renegotiate -- although they also said that about Greece.

But let's take them on their world this time. So what's the plan in those 9 months? May steps down and the Conservatives get a new leader? So what. I can't see a big shift in votes just because someone else is asking the question.

A general election? I don't see why the Conservatives would risk it.

So it would just be 9 more months of uncertainty. At some point the EU would have to say: Either call it off or take a no-deal Brexit.

Cable is bouncing on this and up to 1.3090 but I'm not sure why.
