In the benchmark 10 year sector, yields are lower in trading today
In other markets as London/European traders are exiting, the snapshot is showing:
- spot gold up $8.75 or 0.71% at $1241
- WTI crude oil futures of $.35 or 0.52% at $67.67
The US stock market, a snapshot in what has been a volatile morning session:
- S&P indexes down 45 points or -1.67% at 2660
- NASDAQ indexes down 153 points or -2.08% at 7166
- Dow industrial average is down -311 points or -1.25% at 24672
In the US debt market yields are lower on flight to safety bids:
In the Forex market, the USD moved lower in the morning session. The JPY remains the strongest, but is off it's strongest level. The USDJPY fell below its 100 day MA but is back above that level as I type at 111.55.
The weakest currency is the CAD and NZD. The AUD and the NZD were the weakest at the start of the day but they have seen some recovery on USD selling.
