10 year yields mostly lower

The European stocks are ending the day lower but off the lows as well

  • German DAX fell -0.39%
  • France's CAC fell -0.18%
  • UK's FTSE was unchanged
  • Spain's IMAX fell -0.39%
  • Italy's FTSE MIB fell -0.3%
  • Portugal's PSI 20 fell -0.3%

In the 10 year note sector yields were mostly lower:

  • Germany 0.5%, unchanged
  • France 0.721%, -1.0 basis points
  • UK 1.37%, +1.1 basis points
  • Spain 1.16%, -2.9 basis points
  • Italy 1.737%, -5.7 basis points
  • Portugal 1.619%, -1.8 basis points

In other markets as London/European traders look to exit

  • Spot gold is up $2.80 or 0.21% at $1335.70
  • WTI crude oil futures are trading down $.44 or -0.7% at $63.08. The DOE inventory data showed a surprise draw down which has helped to lift the price off the day's session low as $62.06
  • Bitcoin on Coinbase exchange is trading down $520 and $6879. The price has moved back below its 100 hour MA at $7264. The low price reached $6805. Bears back in control.

In the forex market, the NZD remains the strongest currency on the day while the CHF is now the weakest (taking over from the GBP at the start of the NA session. The USD has moved lower since the start of trading in NA and is only up vs the CHF by a small amount. It is the weakest vs the NZD, AUD and EUR (see chart below).
