Mild positive tones as European investors return from the Easter break
- German DAX futures +0.2%
- French CAC 40 futures flat
- UK FTSE futures +0.4%
But in all fairness, European equities didn't really miss much. Wall Street was only mildly optimistic in overnight trading and US equity futures are near flat levels (a tad higher) on the day currently, so markets are really still trying to get a grip on risk sentiment as we begin the new week.
The slightly more decent mood here is helping USD/JPY recover off the lows to 111.93 now but it isn't really helping risk currencies such as the aussie and kiwi, which are still more focused on weaker domestic bond yields in trading today.
