FDA expected to issue an approval for the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine on Friday

The expected approval follows an advisory panel on Thursday recommending the Food and Drug Administration issue an emergency use authorization

• Moderna's will be the second Covid-19 vaccine cleared by the agency
• Pfizer / BioNTech was granted an EUA last week

Moderna’s vaccine can be more easily transported and stored than the Pfizer candidate. It may also be efficacious after the first dose.
