The GBP is stronger compared with yesterday morning but the other majors are virtually unchanged. AUD/JPY was the main focus during our session yesterday and did manage to break above 87.50 but these gains have been too easily given back. EUR/USD is struggling to break through Chinese selling around 1.3400 but if it does, the stops above 1.3405 are said to be quite large. Cable is posting a reasonably strong close at 1.5460. Sovereign offers above 1.5500 will weigh on this pair also but like the EUR/USD, there are big stops above the market.
