The sticking point at the end of last week was that France only wanted to grant the UK a Brexit extension until 30 November. It was a good showing by the 'bad cop' in the series just to hype up the drama but the decision here is as you would expect.
As mentioned here, a "flextension" appears to be the likeliest outcome so expect a formal announcement on the matter to follow later in the day.
