BERLIN (MNI) – German Deputy Finance Minister Steffen Kampeter said
Monday he is “confident” that there will be a broad majority in the
German parliament for the government’s aid bill for Greece.
Earlier today, the German government cabinet approved loans to
Greece of E22.4 billion until 2012, with a first tranche of E8.4 billion
for this year.
Both houses of parliament are expected to vote on the bill this
Friday.
