Well, it's rather clear that investments, factory activity and exports demand are slowing down so I'm not too sure what "special effects" are to be honest. Either way, with the US potentially looking to escalate the trade rhetoric with the EU by targeting automakers, the outlook moving forward doesn't seem too bright either.

Sure, growth may be able to sustain around current levels into year-end. However, 2019 will present a real challenge for the German economy should auto tariffs start to come into the picture.
