Canada isn’t known for corruption but, I can tell you, here in Montreal it’s rotten.

Our mayor was arrested yesterday and he resigned today. He replaced the previous mayor who stepped down because of repeated corruption charges. The mayor in Laval, which is a large suburb north of the city was also charged earlier this year with corruption and the more serious change of ‘gangsterism’.

I assume most politicians are somehow corrupt so I take it to heart that a few of them actually got caught. I think I’ll run on a ‘yes to corruption’ campaign.
