More details on the death reported in China's Hainan province earlier
The case appears to be an 80-year old woman and this marks the first fatality from the coronavirus infection in the province. So far, it still appears that the virus is largely more fatal to the elderly than it is to the younger population.
On Saturday, Hainan's capital Haikou city said that it would begin a 14-day centralised medical observation for tourists from the Hubei province - where Wuhan is located. It seems that this has become a bit of a standard procedure among major cities in China with a Reuters reporter also facing a home quarantine order in Shanghai.
