There are some hints of softness on the Brexit rhetoric today as the headlines crossing are downplaying the recent optimism surrounding a deal and that is one of the reasons that has seen the pound stay flattish and surrendering its earlier gains on the day.

Cable now trades at 1.3193, pretty much flat on the session. EUR/GBP is a little higher as a result at 0.8753 while GBP/JPY is also flat right now at 148.17.
