- Centre-left look slightly ahead in the lower house based on projections
- Grillo looks set to get around 25%
- Berlusconi has won many more upper house seats than expected – seemingly due to voes leaking from the left to Grillo
- Monti’s results are more or less in line with the polls
- Doesn’t look like a clear majority is going to be achieved in the Senate … another election is looking likely at this stage (but we do await final, official results)
- It looks a few months (at the least) of instability in Italy.
