ITALY DATA: October seasonally-adjusted consumer confidence fell
for the fifth consecutive month to 92.9 from 94.2 in September. The
index fell to the lowest level since July 2008 (92.7) on consumers’
worsening sentiment on the short-term outlook and on their personal
climate. –Consumers’ sentiment on their personal climate fell to 98.6
from 100.6 in September; confidence in the economy fell to 75.6 from
78.3; and sentiment on the future outlook worsened to 81.8 from 85.5.
–Only the ‘good time to save’ balance improved in October (150 vs 134
in Sep), ISTAT said.
