Any improvement in the unemployment rate always has to be welcomed on all fronts but on closer inspection of the ISTAT report there were still 63k job losses.
The unemployment rate only fell because people unable to find jobs stopped searching altogether and left the labour market not because employment levels rose.
As always beware the headline number.
