Unlikely to be too much of a yen mover for the session, but here it is:
M2 comes in at 2.4% y/y
- expected 2.4%, prior 2.3%
M3 is 2.1% y/y
- expected 2.1%, prior 2.1%
Speaking of the yen, USD/JPY had ticked up just a few tics in the preceding quarter hour or so. This against a background of less favour for 'risk' after the Chinese trade data on Monday. Which should have favoured yen but it has lost a little ground in overnight trade.
