US jobless claims continue to edge lower, a positive sign for the beleaguered US labor market. Claims fell further this week, to 514,000. Continuing claims fell below 6 million, but some of that may be due to benefits expiring.
CPI was as-expected at +0.2%.
Empire State was very strong, suggesting the Big Apple is on the comeback trail. It jumped to 34.6 from 18.9.
EUR/USD is recovering further, back to 1.4895.
