More signs indicate that he's on the way out
CNBC's Eamonn Javers reports Bannon isn't on Air Force One along with Trump on his trip to Camp David. He also wasn't with him in Bedminster this week. All the top Trump officials are there except Ivanka, Kushner and Miller.
Another sign is the Drudge Report. Drudge himself was at the White House earlier this month and the rumor was that he was going to be part of the communications team. Perhaps he knows something was up with Bannon because instead of linking the Bannon interview yesterday his top link was to the Washington Post in a story that criticized Bannon. Today, Drudge also tweeted this:
Yet another sign was a hit piece by Roger Stone late yesterday. "There is no reason for conservatives to be upset about the coming purge of Steve Bannon. He did a lot to help himself but not much to help us," he wrote.
The flipside is that there is always smoke around various rumors that someone in the White House will be fired so it's tough to say if there is anything more than the latest headfake.
