Buildings shake in Tokyo as earthquake hits near Chiba
The depth of the quake is said to be 50 kilometers. According to NHK news, there is no tsunami threat to arise from the quake here. Japanese folks are rather hardy so this isn't too big of a deal but in the wrong spot, quakes can be disastrous - although probably magnitude of 7.0 or higher needs to be observed as well.
Just something to note as the frequency of quakes have been on the up in the coastal areas of Japan recently.
