Comments by German chancellor Angela Merkel ahead of the summit today
- Says that the "devil is in the detail" on Irish border issue
- Germany has begun preparing for a no-deal Brexit
- Still need to work on convincing solution for both sides
Merkel merely stating the obvious sticking point in Brexit talks and why we're at a standstill at this point. She has continued to demand Theresa May to "step up" in the past week and looks like she will continue to push forward with that rhetoric at the summit later.
