Mexico's Automakers Association says your auto proposal is not acceptable
- Says saw new US auto proposal for NAFTA and is worried it's still not a viable proposal given realities of industry in North America
- US seeking 75% regional content in autos, to be implemented over 4 years for light vehicles, 2 years for pickup trucks
- US auto proposal not realistic, not reachable
NAFTA negotiations are working toward what was hoped to be a decision this week for a new agreement. This may throw some cold water on the negotiations.
