Tokyo's main index closes lower in mixed session for Asian stocks
Defensive stocks edged higher in Japan and Korea but it wasn't enough to help settle market nerves as the Nikkei closes lower in light of North Korea opting to restore part of a missile test site, which was reportedly supposed to be dismantled before this.
However, Chinese stocks are once again the bright spot as it continues to reel in optimism from stimulus talks from the NPC. The Hang Seng and Shanghai Composite are both up by 0.2% currently.
US equity futures are down by about 0.2% after yet another sluggish performance in Wall Street overnight. That sentiment is expected to be reflected in European trading later, with investors still having little direction to work with on the week so far.
