What's coming up in North American trade

The US economic calendar is low on highlights today but the usual market moves, Brexit drama and politicking should make for a lively day.

The main event comes at 1900 GMT (2 pm ET) with the FOMC Minutes. However due to poor weather in Washington the lockup has been cancelled so the minutes will be released online, with the headlines trickling out. That will make for a more disjointed release but, overall, I don't see much FX risk. The market has a good idea of where the Fed stands (wait-and-see) so market moves should be minor.

Other data to come includes eurozone consumer confidence for February at 1500 GMT. The consensus is a dip to -7.7 from -7.9.

The Fed's Kaplan also speaks in a Q&A at 1810 GMT.
