Stock futures push higher ahead of the cash market open
US futures are now up by nearly 0.6% on the session and that is dragging risk currencies higher to start the day. AUD/USD is back near the highs at 0.6555 while NZD/USD has risen to 0.6090 as the dollar, yen, and franc slump across the board.
The pound is also a notable beneficiary as the currency ran up close to key near-term levels against the dollar before backing off a little now.
It is still early in the day so let's see if the mood can stay the course. In that lieu, be wary of headline risks but as saw with the vaccine talk yesterday, they work both ways.
