Daily thread to exchange ideas and to share your thoughts
Good day, everyone! Hope you're all doing well as we get things going here in the European morning. Markets are looking relatively quiet for the most part once again but we are seeing a bit of an extension higher in the aussie with AUD/USD looking to test key technical levels on the day near 0.7142/43.
The pound traded a little higher earlier before paring some of those gains with cable rising to 1.3095 before stalling just under the 1.3100 handle again to stay at 1.3070 levels currently. Meanwhile, other major currencies are still somewhat subdued as traders are still in search of fresh direction on the new week.
With May set to visit Merkel and Macron later today, expect plenty more Brexit headlines to dominate the trading week as we inch closer towards the Friday deadline.
