At this stage, it's very much a question of "is the government be willing to move its red lines with regards to a customs union and/or a second referendum?". Otherwise, there will be no breakthrough in talks with Labour and that is likely to be the end of Theresa May's spell as prime minister as we move towards the 31 October deadline.
