+0.16 in Feb (-0.04 prev), led by gains in production indicators. March
marked the fourth consecutive positive reading of the index and the
sixth consecutive positive contribution from employment-related
indicators. The Chi Fed’s Midwest Economy Index +0.78 in March vs +0.39
in Feb, led by gains in the manufacturing. March marked the highest
level of the index since December 1999 and the sixth consecutive month
that Midwest economic growth was above its historical trend.
