Condolences to anyone who is in the office

It's one of those days where everyone wishes they had the day off. July 4 is tomorrow and we're just coming off a weekend so anyone who had the opportunity is turning it into a four-day weekend.

Those who couldn't are in the mix and that includes employees at a few of the statistical and survey agencies.

At 1345 GMT (9:45 am ET) Markit releases its final PMI for June. No change from the 52.1 preliminary estimate is expected.

The main release of the day comes 15 minutes later when the ISM manufacturing report for June is due. The consensus is for a 55.2 print after 54.9 in May. Watch the new orders and prices paid components as well.

At the same time, the May construction spending report is out. Spending is forecast to rise 0.3% after a 1.4% decline in April. This isn't always a market mover but it's a big component in GDP so look for estimates to be revised on any significant miss.
