Latest data from the Mortgage Bankers Association for the week ending 28 December 2018

Headline measures the change in number of applications for mortgages backed by the MBA during the week. The data for the 21 December week is also released at the same time as the week before coincided with the holiday period so there wasn't any data release.

Of note, the 30-year rate falls back to its lowest level since the week ending 7 September @ 4.84%. The peak that it hit in 2018 was 5.17% during the week ending 9 November.
