Selling in May didn't work
The S&P 500 is set to gain 11 points at the open, which will take the monthly gain to about 0.6%. That lags global indexes which have gained 3-4% in Europe, Canada and China.
It's still a positive return though and would be a fourth consecutive month of gains.
