US to start giving booster shots starting September 20

Starting 8 months after the 2nd dose

The US will start the rollout of Covid booster shots starting September 20.

• The recommendation is for booster shots for all Americans beginning the week of September 20
• The shot would be given for those who had the 2nd shot 8 months earlier
• The shots are subject to FDA conducting an independent evaluation
• 80,000 locations would be offering the shot free of charge.
