XI/Trump has good chemistry
White House economic advisor Larry Kudlow is on the wires saying:
- Pres. Trump and China's Xi had good chemistry
- China's commitments will start immediately
- US will increase exports of China opens markets
- should see results from China even within 90 day period
- The US will get majority ownership of companies for 1st time
- US would like to see progress on structural issues such as IP theft and licensing issues immediately
- Xi has never been this involved, his presentation on Saturday was remarkable
- China has to show significant progress, he would be comfortable with individual deals on various issues discussed
- he has not heard non-negotiables for the talks, nothing is off the table in US view for trade talks
- China is going to roll back auto tariffs, he assumes it will roll them back all the way
- US got ballpark commitment of well over 1 trillion from China
- structural change in reducing nontariff barriers were key
- US Lighhizer will play key role in monitoring China trade
- Scheduled a meeting for auto tariffs with German auto makers.
