European equity close: Gains of almost 1% in the eurozone

• German DAX +0.8%
• Italy MIB +1.0%
• French CAC +0.9%
• Spain IBEX +0.8%

The DAX today climbed nearly 1% and is having another look at last week's highs. It's been a sharp recovery from the March 7 low.
