Bloomberg reports that Obama will likely wait until after Congress votes on military action in Syria, and probably until the immediate outcome of a strike is clear, to announce his nominee to for U.S. Federal Reserve head
“Syria right now has kind of paralyzed the town,” said David Plouffe, a former senior Obama adviser. “They’ll wait until the dust clears.”

- House leaders don’t plan to begin consideration until after a Senate vote… so the congressional debate on Syria may well drag on until the week of September 16
