- If anything the language used in the minutes has strengthened that easing bias by using the term: "Members did not see this as limiting the Board's scope for any action that might be appropriate at future meetings".
ANZ:
- Minutes provided little new information on the economy
- Did lay out an "explicit easing bias"
- Easing bias is based on ongoing forecast for below-trend growth and rising unemployment
Citi:
- RBA has a soft easing bias
- Citi's current forecast is for a cut in August ... but this is at risk now due to the better confidence following the budget and the potential businesses to boost investment expenditure.
