The data calendar is light as the week winds down. It’s possible we see fast-month yen shorts take some profit into the weekend but this is the first Friday in a few weeks where a Greek-based risk event isn’t threatening a gap at next week’s open.

The dollar could be a mover as Fed members Williams (voter, 10:45 ET), Bullard (non-voter, 11:35 ET), Plosser (non-voter, 1330 ET) and Dudley (voter, 1330 ET) speak at the US Monetary Policy Forum. I would prefer to be long USD into the speeches because, if anything, they will talk down the chances of QE3.
