The S&P 500 is bleeding lower after a flat open.
The index is down 5.5 points to 1867 and USD/JPY has backed off to 101.65 after a challenge of 102.00. The intraday low is 101.45. Strong demand at 101.20.
EUR/USD has also perked up following the data, hitting a session high at 1.3875. Strong offers extend up to 1.3885. More at 1.3890/1.3900 so it could be tough to get any traction to the upside.
