German government says they expect Greece to stick to its commitments

• Greece has long term commitments
• a new govt will not change that
• it has always been the policy of German govt to stabilise Eurozone with all of its members
• there is no change in stance of the German govt toward Greece

So says govt spokesperson Steffen Seibert

Looks like they’re attempting to assuage concerns after the comments allegedly made by Merkel and Schaueble that the Eurozone could cope with Greece leaving

Euro not really impressed though by this case for the defence
