The AiG performance of manufacturing index for October did 258.3 from 59.0 last month. The low for the year came in at 52.0 in July. The high was at 63.1 in March.

- new orders 58.8, -3.8 points
- capacity utilization 80.4, +1.5 points
- exports 55.1, -3.8 points
- deliveries 60.9, +3.7 points
- input prices 72.8, -5.6 points
- average selling price 57.1, +0.9 points
- average wages 67.0, -2.3 points
The dip is modest overall. The components were mixed, but all are above 50 which is indicative of expansionary.
The AUDUSD is little changed after the report.
