Asian bourses are flat today, with investors hesitant to actively take on position ahead of a series of US data releases and Chinese week long holidays.

The Nikkei is slightly higher up 0.1% with Toyota the top story there, down, following a US recall announcement. The stockmarket lost steam once USDJPY fell back below 90.00 with traders taking profits on exporters.

In Sydney the ASX200 is down 0.08% with the local banks which led the morning higher, now in negative territory.

The Kospi is up 0.1% and the Shanghai Composite is slightly higher +0.7%.
