That’s a tough question to answer because the economics of every project are different. Some some US shale oil projects are already deeply unprofitable with oil falling 10% to $66.15 on Friday.

Citi also highlights a variety of other projects, many of which led by the biggest names in the oil industry, and the breaking point on many of them is just below $60.
