Australian business conditions improved in April with the Index rising 7 points to a reading of -10.
However the Business Confidence Index fell 1 point to -14, but remained well above February’s low of -22.
Also, Index of sales rose 7 points to -3 and profitability edged up 2 points to a reading of -10.
The results are encouraging and it seems the Government’s stimulus measures have helped drive a pick up in sales, profits and employment from earlier in the year.
The AUDUSD rose 10 pips off the lows of 7550.
