- for the m/m, in at -5.0% (expected -2.0%, prior was 6.8%)
- for the y/y, in at 23.2% (expected 27.9%, prior was 34.6%)
- seasonally adjusted estimate for private sector houses fell 2.1% in February following a rise of 8.4% in the previous month
- seasonally adjusted estimate for private sector dwellings excluding houses fell 8.7% in February after rising for two months
- seasonally adjusted estimate of the value of total building approved fell 0.3% in February and has fallen for two months.
- The value of residential building fell 0.2% and has fallen for two months.
- The value of non-residential building fell 0.5% and has fallen for two months.

A fall in approvals with the recent data indicating solid rises (see graphs, above).
The AUD has been marked a little lower on the data release (0.9226 hit). There is good buying interest from here down to 00 (orderboard).
