The Bank of France has reported that its monthly barometer of business sentiment in industry rose to 87 in July from 84 in June. The Bank says “According to forecasts, industrial activity is expected to post a very slight rise thanks to the positive outlook in the automotive, consumer goods and agi-food sectors.”

Regarding services the Bank said “After declining for several months, services activity stabilised in July. Demand edged up slightly, prices continued to fall and staff levels decreased at a substantially slower pace. The outlook points to a slight overall improvement.”

The Bank sees Q-3 GDP unchanged from the previous quarter amid the slight pick up in the manufacturing and services sectors.
