GBP/US rises to a session high of 1.4204

Same story, different day? The dollar is getting sold again as we await European markets to open and before we have any commentary from Davos.

Sterling is now close to rivaling the aussie as the top performer on the day as cable surges through 1.4200. The euro is also not far behind, gaining strong bids with EUR/USD touching a high of 1.2450.

It's dollar weakness all around, and that's the market signaling that the rout may have some room to go still. Trump's comments yesterday helped to stall the drop a little, but it's not looking good for the dollar judging by early signs today.

Dollar index is touching a session low now at 89.06.
