While we’re on the subject of China, and while I head back out to a stormy wind-swept weekend, here’s a little bit of light-ish reading from Josef Joffe, the editor of Die Zeit, Germany’s most widely read weekly newspaper.

In part of a fuller essay he expresses doubts that China’s economic growth can be sustained and argues that history shows that every economic miracle eventually loses its magic.
