Canada election - the first polls have closed, early results expected soon

2300GMT and the first polling places in Canada have closed.

• On the east coast (west coast polling places will be open for many hours to come)

Newfoundland & Labrador

• 7 of 338 seats in the lower house of Canada's parliament
• Trudeau's party won all 7 last time around

Justin Trudeau is hoping for a win
