China abandoned the circuit breakers for the stock market:
- China suspends stock circuit break rule - CSRC
- Turns out China eliminating circuit breakers wasn't the tonic
But, there are still plenty of limitations on how far stocks can fall:
- There is a 10% daily limit on single stock moves
- There are restriction on buying and selling the same share on the same day
- There are very very tight new restrictions on institutional traders
- Not to mention arrests and investigations of sellers and short sellers
