Consumer sentiment slips in February to 56.2 from 61.2

Consumer sentiment resumed its slide in February, falling back to 56.2, down from 61.2 in January. Two-thirds of those survey see the economic downturn lasting five more years (yikes!). Inflation expectations over the next year fell to 1.6% from 2.2% last month while 5-year inflation expectations ticked up to 3.0%.
